About Meri Mati Farm
Meri Mati – Sabki Mati
Nestled in the heart of Madhya Pradesh, Meri Mati is more than just a farm—it’s a living, breathing forest of hope. Sprawled across 20 acres of once-barren land, Meri Mati has been lovingly transformed into a thriving ecosystem where trees speak, grass whispers, and every creature finds its home.
Founded by Aleena, a passionate child of Mother Nature, Meri Mati is a soul-driven vision to return life back to the Earth. The name itself—Meri Mati—means “My Soil,” but the truth is deeper: this soil belongs to everyone. Meri Mati, Sabki Mati.
Our Story
Meri Mati began as bare, exhausted land—its trees cut, its life forgotten. But one dream changed that. Aleena began by scattering native grass seeds, letting the first rain write the first poem. From there, she started sowing seeds of native trees like Palash, Sagon (Teak), Khejri, and Albizia lebbeck, allowing them to grow naturally, in rhythm with the Earth.
One of the most extraordinary additions has been Sona Jhuri, a tree native to Bengal, now flourishing here, attracting birds, rabbits, and bees like old friends returning home. With no chemicals, no machines, and no concrete walls, this land now breathes on its own—wild, open, and full of life.
What We Do
- Grow Forests, Not Crops We call ourselves an Oxygen Factory. Instead of cultivating profits, we grow air—clean, rich, life-giving oxygen through native trees.
- Preserve Biodiversity From sunbirds to deer, quails to snakes, Meri Mati is home to countless species who find food, shade, and safety here. We don’t just coexist—we belong to each other.
- Live Sustainably Our living fence, made of cacti, agaves, and xerophytes, protects the land while feeding pollinators and sheltering wildlife. No barbed wire, no concrete—only living barriers that breathe.
- Harvest Rain, Not Just Water With hand-dug ponds and puddles, we save every drop of rainwater to replenish the soil and awaken the underground life that sustains our trees.
- Celebrate Nature through Story Every tree here has a story. Every season is a chapter. We document our journey through journals, calendars, poems, and illustrations, inviting the world to feel the sacred pulse of this land.
Why We Exist
Meri Mati was born from a realization during the COVID-19 pandemic: that wealth is meaningless without breath. When people were searching for oxygen, Aleena vowed to never let breath become a luxury again.
This land now exists as a silent prayer—for every being who walks, crawls, flies, or roots. It is a reminder that healing the Earth is not a task. It is a devotion.
